Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast. She was also a captain of The US female Olympic gymnastics 2012 Fierce Five team and in 2016. She was named the Final Five. In the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in floor and team events, and a bronze medal for the balance beam. That made her the very first American gymnast at the Olympics with the highest number of medals. At the 2016 Olympics she won a gold medal at the team event which earned her and her teammate Gabby Douglas the credit of being as the only Americans to take home back-to-back teams gold medals. She also won two silver medals in the floor exercise and the all-around individual. Between the two Olympics she had taken off from competitive gymnastics during three consecutive years. The gold medal she won for the American team also won 2 World Championships. Her favourite event is flooring exercise. Gymnastics was her first sport she began to learn when she was two years older. Aly is a supporter of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honour of her grandmother who passed away due to cancer. She is planning to pursue an occupation in fashion and is looking to increase her famous line of leotards and socks in the near future. Fierce is her first book, which is due out later in the year.
